Opening one takesabout a minute
A little messy. Worth it. Here is the way we do it at the market.
With the opener
Four moves

Stand it up
Flat side down on a towel. It wants to roll.

Press and twist
Opener in the centre of the top, one full turn.

Straw in
Drink it cold. Expect 300 to 400ml.

Crack it for the meat
Tap the seam with the back of a heavy knife, spoon out the soft jelly.
Without the opener
A heavy knife works too
Shave the top until you see the brown shell, then tap the shell with the heel of the blade. Keep your fingers behind the fruit. If it leaks, it leaks. Towel.
Good to know
Keep it cold
Fridge, and drink them within two weeks of delivery.
Pink is fine
Opened water can turn pink. It is the fruit, not a fault.
The shell
Compost, or a planter. We take them back on the next delivery.
