The short version

You're ordering fresh coconuts from us. We'll deliver them to your door or office. You pay when your order goes out for delivery, not before. Members pay $67/year and get free delivery and perks; anyone can try us without joining for up to three orders.

If you signed up at your door, you have three business days to cancel for a full refund, no reason needed. Coconut credits are a thank-you, not money. We text you about your deliveries only if you say yes, and you can stop any time by replying STOP.

This summary is here to be honest with you, but the full terms below are the agreement.

1Acceptance of these terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and The Honest Coconut Holdings LLC ("The Honest Coconut," "we," "us"). By creating an account, placing an order, or using our services, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

2Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account, place orders, sign up for SMS communications, or provide payment information. By using our services you represent that you are 18 or older and that the information you provide is accurate and current.

3Two ways to order

The Coconut Club (annual membership)

  • Membership costs $67 per year, plus the per-coconut price shown at checkout.
  • Minimum order: 6 coconuts. Delivery is included at no extra charge.
  • Members earn perks, including coconut credits, as described in Section 8.

Trial orders (no membership)

  • Pay the per-coconut price shown at checkout plus a per-order delivery fee.
  • Minimum order: 9 coconuts. Trial orders do not earn perks.
  • Trial ordering is limited to 3 orders per household. To keep ordering after that, join the Club.

Prices, fees, and minimums are shown before you confirm any order. We may change pricing prospectively; changes never apply to an order you have already placed.

4Billing and payment

We charge your card when your order is dispatched for delivery, not when you place it. The amount charged is the amount shown when you confirmed the order, less any credits you applied.

Payments are processed by a PCI-compliant third-party payment processor. We do not store your full card number on our systems. You can update or remove cards at any time through the secure customer portal linked from your account.

Membership fees are billed annually at signup and on each renewal date. If a delivery charge fails, we will notify you and retry; we may pause deliveries until payment succeeds.

5Membership renewal and cancellation

Club membership renews automatically each year at the then-current annual fee. We will send a reminder to your email on file before each renewal. You can turn off auto-renewal or cancel at any time from your account or by emailing hello@thehonestcoconut.com; cancellation takes effect at the end of your current membership year.

6Your right to cancel a door-to-door purchase

Three-day cancellation right

If you purchased a membership or placed an order during a visit to your home (including a sale made at your door), you may cancel that transaction, without penalty and for a full refund, at any time before midnight of the third business day after the date of the transaction. Your order confirmation includes a notice of cancellation you can use; you may also cancel by emailing hello@thehonestcoconut.com with your name and address.

This right is provided under the FTC Cooling-Off Rule and applicable state home-solicitation law. If you cancel, we will refund all payments within 10 business days.

7Household accounts and minors

The account holder must be 18 or older and is responsible for all activity on the account, including orders placed by household members the account holder authorizes.

An account holder may list household members, including minors, as authorized orderers or delivery contacts by first name only. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and we do not send SMS to anyone the account holder identifies as under 18. All consents, including SMS consent, are given by the adult account holder, and SMS is sent only to phone numbers the adult account holder registers as their own or as belonging to another consenting adult.

8Coconut credits

Coconut credits are a promotional loyalty currency. They are not money, have no cash value, cannot be redeemed for cash, and are not transferable or sellable.

  • Earning. Credits may be granted for joining, for referrals, and through other programs we announce. Referral and welcome credits are recorded when you sign up and become spendable at your first paid delivery.
  • Spending. Credits apply only to paid orders. They can cover up to 45% of an order, on orders of 6 or more coconuts. Credits can never be used to place a standalone free order.
  • Expiry. Credits expire 60 days after they become spendable, shown in your account.
  • Changes. We may modify or end the credit program prospectively. Credits already in your account keep the terms they were granted under.

9Referral program

When you refer a new household and they complete their first paid delivery, they receive 1 credit and you receive 2. Referrals must be genuine new households at new delivery addresses. Self-referrals, duplicate accounts, and other abuse void the associated credits, and we may suspend accounts involved in abuse.

10Delivery and quality

We deliver on the schedule shown at checkout. Delivery windows are estimates; we will notify you of significant changes.

Coconuts are a fresh, perishable product and cannot be returned. Instead, we stand behind quality: if a coconut arrives damaged or spoiled, tell us within 48 hours of delivery at hello@thehonestcoconut.com (a photo helps) and we will replace it or credit it, your choice.

You are responsible for providing a safe, accessible delivery location and for promptly retrieving perishable deliveries.

11Text messages

SMS is optional and requires your separate consent, collected as described in our SMS Program Terms. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of purchase. Message frequency varies; message and data rates may apply; reply HELP for help or STOP to opt out at any time.

12Account security and acceptable use

Keep your login credentials confidential and notify us immediately of unauthorized use. You agree not to misuse the services, including by placing fraudulent orders, abusing promotional programs, interfering with the platform, or reselling product represented as ours without written permission.

13Disclaimers and limitation of liability

Except as expressly stated in these Terms (including the quality promise in Section 10), the services are provided "as is" and we disclaim all other warranties to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of the services is limited to the greater of the amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or $100. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, or your rights under Section 6.

14Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Kansas, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before filing any claim, you agree to contact us and give us 30 days to work it out. Either party may bring an individual claim in small claims court.

15Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms with a new "Last updated" date and, for material changes, notify you by email or account notice. Changes apply prospectively.
